- Lamination Flaw: A subtle but visible in the close-up photo of the "O" in "MONTICELLO". The flaw appears as a raised, slightly detached area of metal within the bottom curve of the letter "O."
- Die Crack/Gouge: There also appears to be a die crack or a die gouge running through the top of the 'C' and 'E'. This is a separate error from the doubling and confirms that the die used to strike this coin was deteriorating.
