The body is isostatically molded from virgin PTFE and is machine finished, providing a smooth surface that eases cleaning and eliminates contamination. It is immune to chemical attack, susceptible only to some fluorine-containing compounds at very high temperatures and molten alkali metals, and has a working temperature range of cryogenic to 260 degrees C.
