Engineered as a true drop-in replacement for 6~7vdc G6 "globe shape" double-contact bayonet base (Ba15D) filament miniature light bulbs commonly installed in vintage automobiles and various other application with 6-Volt electrical systems. This led emits the same light color as the filament equivalent bulb to retain the OEM appearance. Draws only 0.125 amps @ 6.5VDC for 80% current drop while also providing same total light output as the filament bulb equivalents. Voltage dependent dimming (led dims as forward voltage decreases). Dimensions are identical to filament version for a guaranteed no-questions replacement. Light source is exactly the same height to ensure no adverse affect to light projection in all fixtures, while providing more total light output. LED's are oriented for perfectly balanced 360 omni-directional light to match the OEM filament style bulb. Virtually no heat generated and design life in excess of 10,000hrs.
