Antique Brooch Meiji-Period Japanese Satsuma Painted Floral Bird - RARE Signed

This brooch is from the Meiji period (1868 - 1912), circa 1900 and is an exquisite example of hand painted enamel and gilded porcelain Satsuma. The art depicts a floral scene of a beautiful bird landing softly on cascading wisteria, and other flowers in many other lovely shades of blue, green, yellow and red colors. The scene is surrounded by a black border painted with gold lotus flowers along the edge. Maker's hallmark is stamped in the brass/copper base underside. Good pre-owned, Age-appropriate wear condition. Due to age, nicks, scratches, dirt, tarnish possible. Crazing common for this style.
