- It’s compatible with most tank-based RO systems as a post-tank delivery pump, as long as: Compatibility: The Aquatech 5800 Pump is compatible with most tank-based RO systems as a post-tank delivery pump, as long as the line uses 3/8" OD tubing (unless a ¼” reducing fitting is used – sold separately), the supply/inlet pressure is within the pump’s limits (up to ~60 PSI inlet pressure), and you have a 115 VAC outlet for the power cord.
- High Water Temperatures: The Aquatec 5800 is rated for water up to about 140°F (60°C) (and some 5800 specs list max liquid temps as high as 170°F/77°C), but it’s intended for room-temperature/cold RO or drinking water. Don’t use it as a continuous hot-water recirculation pump.
- Energy Efficient: The 5800 uses a high-efficiency, permanent-magnet 3-chamber diaphragm design and a built-in pressure switch, so it only runs on demand when pressure drops, reducing power use versus constant-run pumps.
