Martin Ferguson is a Saskatchewan farm boy who grew up in the Donamar School District near Edgeley. In this book he tells stories about growing up on a mixed farm in the 1950’s and about his school years. He relates stories about working as a helper and an Industrial Radiographer on pipeline construction. Martin started farming with his brother George in 1970. Two years of poor farm income prompted Martin to go on a trip to see the world. He tells of his adventures working on a ship to Japan. He then travelled to Australia, had several jobs and went all the way around Australia. Martin tells the story of his trip from Australia overland through Southeast Asia to London, England. After returning home Martin was working in Yorkton when he met the love of his life, Pat Kerr. Martin and Pat married and moved to the farm at Edgeley. They raised two sons and farmed for thirty-three years. After retiring to Fort Qu’Appelle, they travelled to many countries seeing the world together. Martin remains active in retirement, volunteering with the Fort Qu'Appelle museum, Fort Qu'Appelle tourist booth and Edgeley Recreation Board. At age 77 he continues to golf, curl and play bridge. This book is a series of stories about these adventures. Read more
