I cannot find any tags on this dress, which leads me to believe that maybe it was couture. Very bright yellow, the other cool thing is the Bose down the back. It has a metal zipper so that dates it to no later than the 1960s. It could be scratchy silk, but I think it is lightweight wool.
Measurements are in the photos. I say this would fit a size 6 today fairly slim at the bus, empire waist style. Pleated in the hip area / fans out more below.
The only flaw I see is the tiny rip at the sleeveless area/ shoulder. Definitely could be stitched up with just a few stitches. Selling it cheaply just to get it to another home.
