In the early summer of 1982, while my grandmother and mother discovered unique treasures at a local yard sale, Rosemary came across a vintage board game. My grandmother wasn't a game enthusiast; I hadn't even seen her participate in playing "Setback" or "Pinochle," something Grandpa Elmer played regularly, but this particular game caught her eye, the price seemed to be fair, so she purchased the game. The worn-out, tattered box dates back to the late 1800s or early 1900s and was called Ouija. When I asked her who she was talking to, I expected her to reply, Jesus or God. She would say, "Pumpkin." Read more
