This is virtually unavoidable as many factors cause this natural aging condition such as exposure to high temperatures, low humidity, direct sunlight, general storage conditions, use beyond normal range of motion, age, etc. Older bands tend to become brittle and will typically become harder to stretch. This natural occurrence may lead you to believe our new rubber bands are much easier to stretch and therefore do not feel like the older, less flexible bands. If you use these types of bands in pairs, it is usually most beneficial to purchase new bands in same sized PAIRS (not singles) so that you experience equal resistance on each side of your lift.
