A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) safeguards against electric shock. It monitors current between the hot and neutral wires. If an imbalance is detected, suggesting current may be passing through a person, it instantly cuts power to the circuit.

- 2-pole, 3-wire Grounding Duplex Receptacle
- The outlet's safety is improved with Safelock Protection. When miswired, the outlet have no power, so it is more safe than convenctional receptacles.
- Prevents line-load reversal miswire. If miswired of if GFCI protection is damaged, the outlet cannot be reset.
