Calcite media is used to raise the low (acidic) pH from 5.0 to 7.0. This type of media dissolves on contact and is self-limiting, meaning it will stop when the pH is 7.0 and will not overcorrect pH under normal conditions.Calcite media will raise your water hardness 4-5 GPG (grains per gallon).Best used in situations where low pH is requires neutralization; post-reverse osmosis or pre-KDF or copper lines.Fits most 10" filter housings.
