A true pasta workhorse! The Sicilian Slugger, created for heavy duty professional kitchen use. The name, comes from its process, created in the same way as American baseball bats. Unlike cheaper, narrower mass produced pins, which are pushed through a doweling press (causing stress and warpage) The Sluggers are built extra tough, 1 7/8" diameter, a size not possible with most factory machinery. This creates a more comfortable, and efficient rolling experience.
- Made from 1 piece, North American hard Maple
- Turned from 1 month, slow kiln dried billets, for the most durable finish.
- Thick 1-7/8" diameter, for better feel, strength and efficiency
- Handle end for hanging, and rounded end for sliding off sheets of thin pasta
