The thicker rubber mouthpiece is softer on the corners and the bars of the mouth while offering a warmer and softer option to stainless steel. The loose rings make a more mobile bit which discourages fixing and leaning on the forehand to encourage a more relaxed contact. This horse bit is considered a mild bit and can be preferable for young horses accepting their first bit.
