The Meinl Artisan Edition tar is an instrument like no other and is a must have for serious players. The heads are made using the highest grade hides available - selected for uniform thickness to give consistent warm tone and response. This drum features a special bearing edge exclusively designed for our artisan Edition Tars by Norbert eckermann.

• Internal Lug tuning system – tuning lugs on the inside of the shell allow players to easily change the sound and tension of the drum
• Special bearing edge – the hardwood frame of this drum features a special bearing edge that provides sharper "teks", lower bass notes and overall improved tonal response; measures 22" X 2 1/2"
• Hand selected goat head – this hand drum is equipped with a goat skin head that provides a pleasant resonance at both high and low frequencies
• Thumb hole grip – the lightweight build of the frame along with a thumb hole grip makes this drum comfortable and easy to play
