This is an old lens from the Showa era, a relic of the film camera age. It's a standard lens.
It's a relatively well-regarded lens. Detailed evaluations can be found on the website lensqaworks (English site).
Here's some information about the manufacturer, Minolta: It was one of the major Japanese camera manufacturers, but it transferred its camera business to Sony. Minolta lenses are known for their beautiful bokeh and excellent color reproduction. This DNA is carried on in Sony products.
There are some drawbacks:
* When held up to sunlight, the lens appears clear, but when held up to an LED, the coating on the rear element shows signs of degradation. There is also some dust and debris inside the lens due to age and use.
Compared to modern lenses, this product has fewer plastic parts, so you can enjoy it for a long time without worrying about degradation.
I have confirmed that it can be mounted on a Sony α7 via an adapter, and the aperture and focus functions work.
Free shipping service is included (around 600 yen).
There are no accessories other than what is shown in the photos.
Please note:
The mount is entered for the sake of the listing, but the correct mount is Minolta SR or MC, MD mount.
Full-frame compatibility: Compatible with full-frame cameras
Maximum aperture: Between 1.5 and 2.0
Other features: Old lens
