STREET MARKET

This art book is a collection of works by three street artists: Barry McGee, Stephen Powers, and Todd James. I really love books like this that gather the New York art scene. It's so much fun to flip through the pages as if I'm breezing through areas with thriving American graphics on a bicycle. It's like a longing for the New York scene... I have to go there soon. This is a wonderful book that lets you feel the atmosphere of real street art. In American art, street culture is like a symbol of freedom, and there seem to be many stars who have turned their careers around from self-published works like these ZINEs. I think ZINEs are a very important culture in the sense of public self-expression that you can do yourself even without money.
