Pragense is a superior selection to other leather leaf viburnums as it is completely evergreen and has a tight full habit. It's ideal for an evergreen privacy hedge since the large leathery leaves and tight branching habit block out everything including a lot of sound. The flowers are pink in bud opening to creamy white cymes in the spring. New growth proceeds on into the fall when red berries form and turn to a glossy black.
