For your consideration is this very pretty serving piece made by Towle silver co. patented C1895, in the pattern old colonial. It appears to be a cream or sauce ladle with a pointed bowl tip and flared rim. The bowl has gold wash or vermeil finish that shows worn on the ridges, but in good condition otherwise. It is 5 7/8 inches long and weighs 34.5 grams or 1.11 troy ounces. Marked with 925 over 1000, Towle's hallmark, Sterling silver, Pat. 1895. Also monogramed NEL on the back.
